Here is the deal: I love summer. I love the sunshine, the sunnies and the ice-cream (Ben&Jerry all the way;). So as soon as I feel summer getting closer and the sun sort-of-not-really peeking out from the clouds, I want to dress as though it is summer. Obviously I am then stuck with the problem of it being freezing outside.
So. This post is going to be about how I pair my favourite summer piece i.e. a summer dress with warmer pieces that will let me enjoy summer dresses even in March-ie cold temperatures.
When wearing summer dresses in February/March I like to stick to neutral colours such as black, white and beige. The dress I am styling today is a really cute black polka-dot dress that I belted up.
I also love layering. Layering looks adorable but also gives you the layers you desperately need on cold days.
So. Lets begin;)

Excuse the stupid mirror shot. So in this outfit I added a cute light pink cardi. Cardigans are always great. There is such a large variety of them out on the market that you are bound to find one for you (cheeeeesy). I love the romantic feel of this outfit! I also added a cute scarf to shield my neck from the wind and accessorize the outfit. If extra warmth is needed you can always add another cardi underneath. Then you can layer cardis and be fabulous;)
In this next outfit, my darling dress in paired with this cute sweater (New Look, I think). As with the cardis you can pick the thickness of the sweater depending on the weather and there is a huge range out there for you to choose from. I think this idea is super cute and if the weather gets warmer, its easy to remove the sweater and show off your dress. For a more preppy touch I added a fake collar that I made from my dad's old shirt (TREND!). I love the mix of patterns ♥
Denim shirt, denim shirt, denim shirt! I ♥! As summer dresses and dresses in generally are so girly, I love the more grudgy touch to this outfit with the denim. You can also go for a more distressed denim. Mixing opposite styles is actually how I base my outfits. Matching the unmatchibale you see;) x The sweet loveheart necklace and red lipstick adds a Valentine's touch.
I worn this outfit out quite a few times actually. I paired the dress with a light transparent patterned blouse. What I love the most about this outfit is the mix of patterns on the dress, scarf and blouse. The key here is that the pattern on the dress is a lot less vivid and bold as the one on the top. The colour of the scarf paires beautifully with the blouse. I might just be me but this outfit has a very chic Parisian feel.
I also am absolutely in LOVE with faux fur vests but unfortunately I still haven't got one so there isnt an outfit with one:( x
I paired all my outfits with my favourite black boots that match everything;)
Cute aren't they?^^
Happy spring everyone ♥
